General Controller Information

Analytical Measurements offers two basic types of controllers: Analog based with optional digital display and microprocessor based units. The analog product line includes the Model IC (Indicator-Controller) and Model RC (Recorder-Controller) as pictured above. The microprocessor unit is the Best-1. The analog units utilize transistors with switches and knobs for operating the unit, whereas the microprocessor unit utilizes microchips. The microprocessor units require a higher degree of knowledge by an Operator to program and maintain the unit. Programming is similar to that of a VCR.

All controller units are provided with two (2) separate controllers for setting a Low and High relay to turn on/off pumps, alarms, lights, etc.. as provided by Customer. All units are 115 volts AC, 50-60- Hz. None of the controller units can be provided as battery driven. Units can be configured for either pH or ORP (Redox).

Model IC, pH Indicator-Controller- This unit is the basic analog unit offered and is used for applications where a permanent record is not required. The indicating unit is interchangeable with our recorders so that the recorder can be added at a later date. The indicating scale range is 0-14 pH and the unit is equipped with with two (2) adjustable controllers.The unit is provided as panel mounted and comes complete with probe and buffer solutions. Available Options include: digital display, NEMA 4X enclosure with terminal block wiring, and 4-20 mA output.

Model RC, pH Recorder-Controller- This unit is provided for applications where a permanent record is required. It is provided the same as the Model IC described above except it includes a strip chart recorder for permanent recording instead of the indicator. Standard scale range is 2-12 pH, but other scales such as 0-14 pH are also available. The unit is supplied with two (2) adjustable controllers, is panel mounted, and includes a probe and buffer solutions. Available Options include: digital display, NEMA 4X enclosure with terminal block wiring, and 4-20 mA output.

Model IC4 (or RC4), pH Controllers- Units are similar to the Model IC or Model RC described in above descriptions, except include four (4) adjustable controllers with two (2) Upper and two (2) Lower setpoints. The units can be configured for Indication only (Model IC4) with range 0-14 pH, or provided with a strip chart recorder of range 2-12 pH for permanent record. The units are provided as panel mounted and include probe and buffer solutions. Available Options include: digital display, NEMA 4X enclosure with terminal block wiring, and 4-20 mA output.

 

Model DIC, Digital pH Indicator-Controller- This unit pictured above is a compact digital controller mounted in a NEMA 4X enclosure suitable for wall mounting in wet processing areas. It contains a single digital display with range 0-14 pH and equipped with two (2) adjustable controllers. Power and controller wiring is all prewired to terminal strips for ease of installation. It is provided complete with probe and buffer solutions. Available Options include a 4-20 mA output. This unit can also be coupled with either a strip chart recorder or circular recorder as described in the Recorder Section.

Model Best-1, pH Controller- The Best-1 is a microprocessor based controller requiring a higher degree of knowledge by an Operator to program and maintain. The unit contains a digital display with four (4) digits and two (2) adjustable controllers. The unit includes a 4-20 mA output and is 115 volts AC, 50-60 Hz. It is compact at only 4-5/8 inches deep. The unit can be provided with options as listed below.
