Recording Systems and Recorders

General Recording Systems

Analytical Measurements can provide a complete and reliable pH or ORP monitoring and/or recording system with various options. These systems are typically used to monitor and record pH of final wastewater discharge prior to entering the sewer to provide the Local Sewerage Authority with written proof of compliance to their established pH limits. We offer two basic recording types: circular chart recorders or strip chart recorders. Either of these type recorders can be combined or connected with our pH Indicator or Controller Units. We provide a complete tested package including meter, recorder, interconnecting wiring, probe, mounting hardware, etc... Pictured above is the Model D-1 pH Indicator coupled with a Circular Chart Recorder.

Circular Chart Recorders- Circular chart recorders are the easiest to operate and maintain as they contain fewer moving parts compared to the strip charts. We offer the Partlow MRC7100 Digital Circular Chart with range 0-14 pH, single or dual ink pen, 115 volt AC, 50-60 Hz. Unit is enclosed in a splashproof enclosure that is wall mountable. Provided with either a 7-Day chart or 24-Hour chart, requiring changing the 10-inch chart every 7 days or 24 hours dependent on type selected by Customer. The Circular Chart is shown in the picture at top of this page coupled with our Model D-1.

These units are typically driven off the series jacks or 4-20 mA output option from separate indicating or controlling pH meters such as the Model D-1, DIC, Best-1, DD-2, etc... Please refer to other sections describing these units.

Strip Chart Recorders- Strip Chart recorders as illustrated above in the Model 30 unit are a more economical recording system than the circular chart, however, they utilize many moving parts and can be easily damaged by an untrained Operator. Changing chart paper is more difficult than that of the circular chart recorders.

These recorders use a roll of chart paper approximately 3-inches wide by over 50 feet long. The chart paper typically lasts for 30 days and is available premarked with time and pH scale at various intervals on the paper. Styles of pH range from 2-12 pH, 0-14 pH, 0-12 pH, and unmarked with 10 units suitable for either pH or ORP recording.

These recorders are typically mounted in the same enclosure along with the pH indicator or controller module making for a compact installation. Please refer to our Model 30 or Model RC units for further information. These units can also be mounted in a separate enclosure if monitoring and/or recording is required in a remote location from the meter.
