Doser & Pumps

Doser Units
The Doser unit is a simple and effective device for treating chemical wastes before discharge to sewer. It consists of a pH meter coupled to a proportioning controller which in turn activates a bellows type pump to add either acid or alkali to the effluent to maintain pH within acceptable discharge limits.
The unit is designed to add reagent in small doses to control pH. If the small doses do not effect the required change, larger doses are supplied until enough reagent is added to bring about the desired change. If as the dosing proceeds, it brings about the required correction, the dosing will then diminish until the pump shuts itself off.
The sytem is supplied in a weatherproof housing mounted on one side of a Z bracket, and the pump on the other side making a compact portable or permanent mounted assembly suitable for field or process applications. It has a range of 0-14 pH, 115 volts AC, 50-60 Hz. It is provided complete with probe, buffer solutions, and bellows pump of 3.1, 6.5, 13.1, or 27 gallons/hour capacity.
The Doser can be ordered as ORP calibrated for millivolts and utilizes a platinum tipped ORP probe for monitoring and controlling oxidation-reduction conversions.
The Doser unit can also be ordered with just the meter and single point controller for use in controlling a Customer provided pump if the bellows type pump is not wanted.
Bellows Pumps- The pumps offered on the Doser units are as manufactured by Gorman-Rupp and are bellows type (Bell-O-Just). The pumps can be ordered separately and are available in capacities of 3.1, 6.5, 13.1, and 27 gph.
